DERMAPLANING
DERMAPLANING
DermaPlaning is a exfoliation treatment that involves gently scraping the face with a medical grade scalpel to remove fine hair and dead skin cells.
This is a great treatment for patients who are pregnant or nursing who want a deep exfoliation, but are not allowed to use peeling agents on their skin. It is also a first choice for patients who have excess vellus hair on the skin. This hair often causes a build up of dirt and oils in the follicles, so removing the hair gives the patients healthier looking skin.
Say farewell to peach fuzz!
This is truly one of our favourite types of exfoliation. Overall, DermaPlaning the skin is a great way to treat two skin conditions; dull skin and a fuzzy face! Don’t be afraid that the hair will grow in thicker. It won’t!

FAQ's
DermaPlaning will benefit most skin types except those with existing acne breakouts on the face. Dermaplaning combined with an Oxygen Facial is a very popular treatment for brides-to-be, because the skin is beautifully prepped for smooth and even makeup application.
No. It is physiologically impossible for your vellus hairs to grow back thicker. True, once the hair is cut, it has a blunt edge. But, this blunt edge does not mean that the hair structure itself has been physiologically altered. Vellus hair when cut or removed will grow back the same. The structure of the hair does not become damaged, therefore it is impossible to alter.
Blading the skin is performed on the face only. Men are also candidates for this treatment; due to the nature of course hair growing in the beard area, men can only be treated on the upper cheeks, around the eyes and forehead.
Blading can be performed every 3-4 weeks. Blading the skin actually removes about 2-3 weeks worth of dead skin cells. We want the skin to complete its normal skin cycle of approximately 30 days.
